Project Overview

This is a two-phase, mixed-methods study with the first phase (the survey) aimed at gaining an overview of teachers' opinions on using the TC workshops and resources in the PYP and how opinions are related to amount/type of professional development, years of experience with PYP and workshops, as well as the ways and extent to which teachers modify and adapt their approach. The second phase (interviews) will explore classroom practice and teachers' experiences in depth.

  • To better understand the opinions and attitudes of practising educators toward implementing the TCRWP Reading and Writing Workshops within the PYP framework

  • To obtain information about factors influencing teachers’ opinions and attitudes toward the TCRWP Reading and Writing Workshops within the PYP framework

  • To better understand the advantages and disadvantages of using the TCRWP Reading and Writing Workshops in international PYP schools

Objectives

  • To document the experiences of teachers using the TCRWP Reading and Writing Workshops in international PYP schools

  • To obtain examples of effective implementation of the TCRWP Reading and Writing Workshops in international PYP schools
